Avenues
As part of the first stage of engagement, we asked participants to tell us what their key priorities were for the development of design concepts for the Avenues, the city centre streets around George Square.
The most popular priorities were:
- Increased pedestrian and cycle space
- Increased greenspace and biodiversity
- Reduced street clutter
- Segregated cycle lanes
- Continuous footways
A summary of Stage 1 engagement findings is available hereThis page presents a range of before and after sketches and other visuals of a number of key streets in the Avenues area. Each idea for each location incorporates these priorities in different ways. After introducing each of the sketch ideas for the Avenues, we invite you to complete a short survey to help us better understand how to develop these ideas as part of the next stage of design development.
A summary report of stage 1 engagement findings is available as a downloadable pdf. Please click here to download.
